Trump has left the U.K. after a very swift and laid back State Visit. Why the U.K. Government invited him for a second State Visit, unique to anyone to have a second, was an absolute disgrace and showed how craven the British Government is in sucking up to America.
At the State dinner, speeches were made by King Charles and by Trump. I felt sorry for the King as his body language seemed to me to betray what he was forced to say. Trump said America was doing so well!
At least one company is badly effected by Trump’s tariffs. Boeing, due to its own mismanagement but complicated by the tariffs, that it is quite possible that Ryanair, Europe’s largest airline may cancel its potential order for up to 300 Boeing 737 Max aircraft worth $30 billion and is looking at the Chinese Comac C909 which is cheaper and could save Ryanair a pile of money.
So like the boycott of Huawei which has made that company into a giant, the tariffs have helped bring Boeing to its knees.
Huawei and Xiaomi now outsell Apple in China. China is Apple’s best territory after the U.S. but for how long?
Trump thinks making enemies is making the U.S. better. What an idiot!
Personally, I look for airlines that fly Airbus aircraft and avoid Boeings.
