I am so ashamed

I’m no royalist – let me make that clear.

The U.K. Government continues to act subservient to the U.S.

First, they gave Trump as second State Visit last year. Typically a Head of State will be granted one State Visit.

Now the Government is sending the King and Queen on a State Visit to the U.S. in April.

This in spite of the fact that Trump treats the U.K. and the E.U. with contempt.

The U.K. has no self-respect and seems to think that there is a “Special Relationship” between us. There may have been once but President Obama made it clear that he would prefer to deal with the E.U. first and, we know, Trump prefers to deal with autocrats like Putin.

Other European Countries have stood up to Trump but Starmer remains all mealy-mouthed.

It is disgusting.
