ASs you will see from my recent reading on my Links page, I have been reading a great deal about the Chinese Tech giants recently and I have to say that I have been greatly inspired by Huawei, Xiaomi and Tencent. They are releasing amazing products which are noy that easy to come by unless you order through their own websites as the Mobile Operators in the U.K. don’t sell their products. You can find Honor and Oppo kit at the Mobile Operators but not the two largest companies’s products.
Huawei now runs its own operating system – Harmony Next because they were forbidden to use Google’s Android by both the Biden and Trump administrations and so developed their own o.s.from scratch.
Xiaomi produces several quality phones at very cheap prices. I bought a POCO C85 for £89 to test out an Android phone. The only problem I had was it uses Android which I have never used before and never want to use again. I shall remain with iOS which is far better in my opinion.
To use the torch on my POCO I had to download Google Assistant and to scan QR codes I had to download Google Lens. In iOS these work straight away but not on the POCO.
