If that was true, leaders of countries should NOT be protected by Constitution or Law from being prosecuted for crimes they commit while in office.
Leaders are in a position to ignore laws and commit crimes as they often do.
Trump has broken several Constitutional decrees e.g. enriching himself while in office for one.
Netanyahu likewise stays in office to prevent indictments being processed against him.
Orban is another example.
Why are these laws that prevent indictment on the books in the first place?
